Eligibility Criteria for the Mauritius Africa Scholarship

Citizenship: Must be a citizen of an African Union or African Commonwealth country.

Age Limits:

Undergraduate: 18-25 years as of 01 January 2026.

MPhil/PhD: Under 40 years as of 01 January 2026.

Academic Requirements:

PhD: A first-class undergraduate degree or MPhil, meeting awarding body criteria.

MPhil/PhD: An upper second-class undergraduate degree (or GPA > 60%), preferably with a master’s degree.

Diploma Program: Five credits at S.C., G.C.E ‘O’ Level, or IGCSE, including English or equivalent.

Undergraduate Degree: Minimum of 21 points at GCE or HSC A-Level, 60% average, or equivalent.

Program Application: Must have applied for a full-time on-campus Diploma, Degree, MPhil, or PhD program at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius for the 2024 academic year.
