The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme, established in 2013 by the Hungarian Government, has been managed by Tempus Public Foundation since 2015. It is founded on bilateral educational cooperation agreements between Hungary and the Ministries responsible for education in the participating countries/territories or their institutions.

The programme is designed to address the increasing interest of international students in studying in Hungary while promoting the globalisation of Hungarian higher education. It is overseen by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and coordinated by Tempus Public Foundation.

Scholarships are offered for bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, doctoral, and non-degree programmes (including preparatory and specialisation courses). However, this Call for Applications is specifically for bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, and non-degree programmes.

Available Scholarship Types

Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships are offered for bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, doctoral, non-degree programmes (preparatory courses), and postgraduate specialist training courses. However, this Call for Applications is specifically for bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, non-degree programmes, and postgraduate specialist training courses.

In Hungary, one-tier master’s programmes combine both bachelor’s and master’s levels into a single, uninterrupted course of study, leading to a master’s degree. These programmes are available in specialised fields such as general medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, architecture, law, veterinary surgery, forestry engineering, and more.
