D-Prize Challenge For Social Entrepreneurs to Fight Poverty ($USD 20,000)
Social Entrepreneurs can now apply for the D-Prize Challenge. The D-Prize Challenge award grants of up to $20,000 to entrepreneurs launching new organizations. D-Prize believes the world needs more social impact organizations, and seed for-profit ventures, NGOs, and charities. D-Prize – Distribution equals Development support organizations in any low-or-middle income country where extreme poverty still exists.
Focus Areas for the D-Prize Challenge
These are high-impact products and services in need of greater distribution globally:
- Health
- Water
- Agriculture
- Livelihoods
- Energy
- Public Services
- You can also propose your own Challenge
Eligibility Criteria
- D-Prize challenges are open to anyone or any team. The sole restriction is that individuals and their immediate family on the judging panel may not participate as a contestants.
- D-Prize is also open to any business model (for-profit, non-profit, and everything in between).
- You are also not competing against other applicants. They typically fund at least 15 proposals per competition, regardless of which challenge track was selected.
Funding Details
All winners will get a grant of $20,000 which is in form of a convertible grant.
Timeline

- The Global Competition launches on 6 May 2024.
- Early Submission Deadline: 23 June 2024 at midnight PT (Pacific Time)
- Regular Submission Deadline: 14 July 2024 at midnight PT (Pacific Time)
- Extension Deadline: 4 August 2024 at midnight PT (Pacific Time)
